Outdoor activities to do with kids

Are you at a lost of what to do with the kids? We understand it has been a long summer already with them being home since early spring. You don't need a lot of money for day trips. Many people don't even know the amazing attractions they have in their own back yard! Here in Cattaraugus County there are many places you can go explore for free of very low cost! One of the Leonard's favorite things to do is fishing! Fishing is an activity for all ages. In New York State there are free fishing weekends through out the season. To find the next free fishing date go to NYSDEC.gov. Hint from a mom who does't always like to clean the fish...I'd take a photo of them with their fish set it free, grab fish sticks from the freezer and tell the kids their "catch" was AMAZING!!!! Now that the kids are older teens, I live by the motto...You catch it you Clean it!
